These terms apply to all services provided by Drawn & Jointed Ltd. By submitting a job or creating an account you agree to these terms in full. Please read them carefully.
Drawn & Jointed Ltd provides professional CAD drafting services for carpenters, joiners, and related trades. References to "we", "us", and "our" mean Drawn & Jointed Ltd. References to "you" and "your" mean the customer.
We provide CAD drawing work on a fixed-price, per-job basis. There is no subscription, retainer, or minimum spend. One package is available:
The package includes a 3D Client Visualisation supplied as a photorealistic render, an interactive 3D model supplied as a shareable link, technical 2D CAD drawings (elevations, sections and internal views, fully dimensioned) and a cutting list. No VAT is charged on our prices — see clause 4.2.
White-labelling is available on request at no additional cost. Where requested, drawings are issued carrying your branding in place of ours, and you are responsible for supplying a usable logo or brand mark. Where white-labelling is not requested, drawings are issued carrying Drawn & Jointed branding. See clause 6 for how this affects our use of completed drawings.
The great majority of jobs, fitted kitchens and dressing rooms included, fall within the fixed price. Where a job falls outside it — for example an exceptionally large layout, or work requiring unusually intricate detailing — we will provide a written quotation before any work begins. You will always be told the price in writing before any drawing starts, never after delivery.
Our standard turnaround is 3 working days, measured from the point of job confirmation, not job submission. We will use reasonable endeavours to meet all stated turnaround times. If we anticipate a delay we will notify you by email as soon as possible.
Express turnaround may be available on request and is quoted per job. Where express turnaround is agreed it will be stated in the job confirmation along with any additional charge.
The following extras are available and are charged as line items on your job confirmation. They are added only where you have requested them:
No VAT is charged on extras — see clause 4.2.
Jobs are submitted via the online submission form or via WhatsApp. You must provide accurate and complete information including dimensions, room type, description of work required, and any relevant reference material. We are not liable for errors arising from inaccurate or incomplete briefs.
All jobs require a written job confirmation before work begins. The job confirmation will detail the scope of work, the package selected, the total price including any agreed extras, deliverables, and estimated delivery date. Work will not commence until you have confirmed your acceptance of the job confirmation in writing.
A revision is a round of amendments requested by you and applied to the drawings we have delivered. The package includes one round of revisions, which will be confirmed in the job confirmation. Additional revisions beyond the included allowance are chargeable at £50 per revision.
Changes that materially alter the scope of the original brief — for example adding units, changing the layout, or changing the construction method — are not revisions and will be quoted separately.
Drawings are delivered in .DXF, .DWG and PDF formats, the 3D Client Visualisation as a photorealistic image file together with a shareable link to an interactive version of the 3D model, and the cutting list as a PDF or spreadsheet, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The interactive model link is hosted by a third party and we cannot guarantee its availability indefinitely; the delivered drawings and image files remain the deliverables of record. Files are delivered via a shared Google Drive folder. Additional file formats may be available on request and may be subject to additional charges.
Jobs are invoiced in two stages. An invoice for 50% of the total job cost is raised on job confirmation. Work will not commence until this payment is received. The remaining 50% is invoiced on delivery and is due within 7 days of the invoice date.
Drawn & Jointed Ltd is not currently registered for VAT. No VAT is charged on our prices and no VAT is shown on our invoices. The price quoted in your job confirmation is the total amount payable. Should we become VAT registered in future, we will give written notice before VAT is applied, and the price of any job already confirmed will not change.
We reserve the right to suspend work on any active jobs where payment is overdue. Interest may be charged on overdue amounts at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
We reserve the right to amend our pricing at any time by updating our published rates. Price changes will not apply to jobs already confirmed at the time of the change.
A job may be cancelled before the job confirmation is accepted at no charge. Once a job confirmation has been accepted and the 50% upfront payment received, work may begin immediately. Cancellation after this point will not entitle you to a refund of the upfront payment.
As we work on a per-job basis, there is no account or subscription to cancel. You are under no ongoing obligation to us between jobs.
Where work has not commenced, a full refund will be issued on request. Once work has commenced, no refund will be given. Where you are dissatisfied with the work, the remedy is revisions within the agreed allowance. We are committed to resolving any quality concerns promptly and professionally.
On receipt of full payment, all intellectual property rights in the drawings produced for you transfer to you in full. You are free to use, reproduce, and distribute the drawings for any purpose.
We retain the right to use completed drawings for portfolio and marketing purposes, including on our website and social media.
Where you have requested white-labelling under clause 2.1, we will never publish or display the white-labelled version carrying your branding. Any portfolio use will be limited to an unbranded version of the drawing, presented as our own work with no reference to you, your business or your end client unless you have agreed otherwise in writing.
If you would prefer your drawings not to be used for marketing in any form, please notify us in writing and we will remove or withhold them without question.
Our total liability to you in connection with any job, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the total amount paid by you for that specific job.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from our services, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of contract, cost of materials wasted, or costs arising from errors in drawings where those errors result from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by you.
We take quality seriously and all drawings are produced to a professional standard. Where an error in a drawing is attributable to us and is identified before or during the build, we will correct it promptly at no additional charge. We strongly recommend that all drawings are reviewed carefully before work commences on site.
We treat all customer information and project details as confidential. We will not share your project information with any third party without your consent, except where required by law.
We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). By creating an account you consent to us holding and processing your contact details and project information for the purposes of delivering our services and managing your account.
These terms, together with the job confirmation for each job, constitute the entire agreement between us and supersede any prior discussions or representations.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify existing customers of any material changes by email with 30 days notice. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Please note: These terms have been drafted for business use. Drawn & Jointed Ltd recommends that these terms are reviewed by a qualified UK commercial solicitor before being relied upon.
